Give every bill a bucket. Get one weekly number for each.

You get paid every other Friday. Rent, insurance and subscriptions come out monthly, quarterly or once a year. The Bucket Budget Planner turns all of it into a clear amount per week and per paycheck, so you see what belongs in each bucket before the money moves.

Sound familiar?

The problem was never your discipline

Most budgets fail for the same boring reason: the money comes in on one schedule and the bills leave on another.

Why budgeting keeps falling apart

  • You get paid every other Friday. Rent, car insurance and your phone bill come out monthly. Nobody ever showed you how to make those two calendars agree.
  • The bills that wreck your month are not really surprises. Car registration, annual renewals, the vet, the holidays are on the calendar. They just were never in your budget.
  • You open your bank app, see a balance and have no idea how much of it is actually yours to spend.
  • You built a spreadsheet once. One broken formula later, you stopped opening it.
  • Budgeting apps told you what you already spent. By then it was already gone.
  • Every “simple” budget method asked you to do the math yourself. That is the part you were never going to do.

Bucket Budget Planner dashboard with every bill sorted into a bucket

Your bills, sorted into buckets, each one with its own weekly amount.

What changes when every bill already has a number

  • You type in a bill and how often it is due: weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly or annual. The sheet does the conversion.
  • You see how much per week and per paycheck belongs in each bucket, including the bills that only show up once a year.
  • You see what is left over after your buckets, so you know your free spending money before you swipe.
  • You stop checking a balance and guessing. You follow a plan that already did the math.

Same paycheck. Same bills. The only difference is that this time every bill has a bucket, and every bucket has a number.

How it works

From a pile of bills to weekly numbers in one sitting

No course to watch and nothing to install. Grab your last paystub and a few bills, and start typing.

  1. 1

    Open your copy

Right after checkout you download the planner and open it in Google Sheets (File → Import, takes a minute) or Excel. The web app is already waiting in your members area.

  2. 2

Type in your income and your bills

On the Setup tab you add your pay schedule (up to 10 income sources, with a mode for variable or low income). On the Buckets tab you list each bill and how often it is due. Up to 40 rows.

  3. 3

    Read your numbers

The Dashboard shows each bucket per week, per paycheck, per month and per year, with a chart. The Monthly Tracker is there when you want to log what you actually spend.

The mechanism

Every bill becomes one number per week

That is the whole idea behind bucket budgeting: stop thinking in “monthly” and “yearly” and start thinking in the same unit as your paycheck.

BillPer weekPer paycheck
Rent$1,450 · monthly$334.62$669.23
Internet$65 · monthly$15.00$30.00
Car insurance$640 · quarterly$49.23$98.46
Holiday gifts$480 · yearly$9.23$18.46
Example numbers, biweekly paycheck. The planner does this math for you, for every bill.

Once you see the yearly bills as a small weekly amount, they stop being surprises. You are not guessing. You are looking at a number the sheet already calculated, bucket by bucket, paycheck by paycheck.

Is this for you?

This is for you if…

  • You get paid weekly, biweekly, twice a month or monthly and your bills do not line up with it.
  • You have annual or quarterly bills (insurance, registration, renewals, gifts) and want to see them coming.
  • You tried budgeting apps and complicated spreadsheets and want something you can set up once and understand.
  • Your income changes from month to month and you want a plan that can handle it.
  • You would rather pay $17 once than another monthly subscription.

If you can type numbers into a table, you can use this.

“Why only $17?”

Fair question. Here is the honest answer.

Because it is fully digital. No printing, no postage, no stock to run out. The files are already built, so sending them to one more person costs us almost nothing.
And because a budget only works if you actually use it. We would rather have a lot of people running a $17 planner than a few paying for a course they never open.

You might be thinking…

“I am not a spreadsheet person.”

You do not need to be. The formulas are built, and the Quick-Start Guide tells you what goes in each tab. You type numbers, the sheet does the rest. Prefer your phone? The web app does the same conversion without a spreadsheet app.

“I get paid different amounts every month.”

The Setup tab has a variable and low-income mode, so you can plan with the smaller number and treat anything extra as a bonus.

“I have tried budgeting before.”

Most budgets stop at the first annual bill or the first mismatch between payday and rent. This one starts there: every bill, at every frequency, in the same weekly unit.

“Is this a subscription?”

No. One payment, and the files are yours. Nothing to cancel, nothing that expires.

Questions, answered

How do I get the planner?

Right after payment you download the planner from your members area and open it in Google Sheets (File → Import) or Excel. The Quick-Start Guide shows each click. Your web app and guide are in the same members area.

Do I need a Google account?

To edit the template in Google Sheets, yes: a free Google account and a basic comfort with Google Sheets. If you prefer Excel, use the Excel file. The web app needs neither.

Can I use it with biweekly or semi-monthly pay?

Yes. Pick weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly or monthly pay on the Setup tab and every bucket is shown per paycheck. You can enter up to 10 income sources, and there is a mode for variable or low income.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. The template works in the Google Sheets app, and the included web app is designed for phones.

Is there a subscription or any extra fee?

No. It is a single $17 payment. The two add-ons offered at checkout are optional and one-time as well.

Is this financial advice?

No. It is an organizing tool: it does arithmetic on the numbers you enter. We are not financial advisors, and what you do with your money is your decision.

What if it is not for me?

You have 365 days. Send one email to hello@mastermodules.com and we refund your payment in full. You keep your files.

Your first bucket is one sitting away
